Life on the road
Life is relatively easy on the West European leg of the journey. We either stop in campgrounds or, when travelling or when campgrounds are closed for the winter, free ‘camper stops’.
On the road, we are part of the community of truckers.
Though, because the truck cruises at 80 kph, this is our most familiar view.
Wherever we stop, we eat
and sleep
well.
When we want to explore an area, we will hire a car; so that we can go places that the truck can’t.
In the off-season, car rental prices are so ridiculously low that we save money on the difference in fuel consumption between the truck and a small car.
